Broadband Service Report

In 2019 the Mississippi Legislature passed one of the most beneficial laws in recent history: The Mississippi Broadband Enabling Act (MBEA).  The MBEA made it possible for rural electric cooperatives like Yazoo Valley to provide broadband service to our membership. Prior to the passage of this act, electric cooperatives could not legally engage in the broadband business.

Hurricane Delta

As Hurricane Delta prepares to make landfall, we are preparing to respond to any power outages that may occur. Our service area falls in the elevated and limited threat groups. Power outages are expected in some areas. Members should have an emergency plan in place and make arrangements ahead of time, in the event of a prolonged outage.

To report an outage, call (662) 746 -4251.

We would like to thank all of our members for their patience and cooperation during the MISO energy crisis. The energy conservation appeal has been lifted for the MISO region. Fortunately, we did not experience any rolling blackouts or temporary outages due the efforts made by you the members.
